Industry experts have long contributed to successful ISA standards development
activities
The dedicated efforts of industry experts have long contributed to successful ISA
standards development activities, including international standards harmonization
for hazardous location's electrical equipment. ISA published the first U.S. versions
of the IEC 60079 series as early as 1987.
In keeping with this tradition ISA plans to release in the near future nine updated
standards in this series that will help ease global trade of U.S.-manufactured electrical
equipment for use in explosive atmospheres.
